Building Foundations...Building Futures

Rick VanStory Resource Center (RVRC) was founded by former mental health consumers who recognized the urgent need for a recovery-oriented peer center for people with psychiatric disabilities.

RVRC empowers individuals to access the resources and services they need to build independent, satisfying life in the community through the support of their peers in an environment that is free of stigma.

Open to all mental health consumers in Delaware, RVRC receives support from the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services – Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, as well the generous support from caring individuals and companies throughout our state.

Welcoming and Helping anyone that have been affected by Mental Illness or Addictions.

A Mission Of Caring - Board & Staff

Rick VanStory Resource Center (RVRC) is blessed with a group of adults who have made a commitment to providing supports and resources to our members who are suffering from mental illness, addictions, co-occurring diagnoses, and homelessness.  This group of adults are our Board of Directors and Professional Staff.

The Board of Directors is the legal entity of the organization. They are responsible for setting policy, being good stewards of the resources given to RVRC, and ensuring that our staff are meeting the mission and goals for the organization.

The Professional Staff are trained nonprofit professionals and supported by volunteers. Our direct-service staff are peer-centered and can share lived experiences with our members.

The links in the upper right hand corner of this page lists our Board and Professional Staff.
